Segero Baraton Secondary

SEGERO BARATON ADVENTIST HIGH SCHOOL HISTORY.

The school was started in January 2001 as an initiative of the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton. The purpose was to provide access to secondary education to the children of the University workers. Initially it was accommodated within the University compound but later on it was relocated to the current site after land was purchased. Permanent structures were put up that were still in good condition. Over the years, the school experiences management challenges but these had been overcome and currently it was under a new management. Due to the management challenges, enrollment gradually took a downward trend and reached 54 students in 2012 compared to 84 in 2011 and 104 in 2010. The school was handed to Segero Group of schools management in the year 2012. It was later changed officially from Baraton Adventist Secondary School to Segero Baraton Adventist Secondary School in the year 2013.The new management team had started streaming the school and it was expected to start picking up well from the year 2013.

However, the land on which the school stands belongs to the University of Eastern African, Baraton as per the land title deed number:
